This certification includes2 full days of instruction, demonstration, andtesting with a Buti® Yoga Master Trainer.We recommend being either a certified yoga instructor OR having a consistent yoga practice of 2+ years before attending certification.
** Starting in March 2019 we will be adding one FULL day of training to make the Buti® certification 3 full days of instruction, demonstration, andtesting with a Buti® Yoga Master Trainer.(this applies to all but 2 trainings in March) Day one will focus on anatomy and physiology of the core, bony landmarks and anchoring points for movement anatomy and physiology, and asana alignment. Day two will focus on class sequencing, cardio dance elements, musicality and how to put Spiral Structure Technique® into action through the building of dynamic Buti sequences. Day three will consist of testing, and student led demonstrations.

Our Yoga Alliance accredited program certifies you to teach Vinyasa Flow, Hot Yoga and Buti Yoga. Upon successful completion of the program, testing and demonstration you will receive your 200 HR YTT certificate to be eligible for YA 200 RYT designation.
This dynamic yoga methodology focuses on the interconnectedness between the physical body ( anatomy & physiology), emotional body (socio-emotional development through the lens of Chakra Diagnostics) and energetic body ( Chakra system, Nadis, Koshas and their connection to the endocrine system ). Throughout the 5 month program, we teaching concepts and tools via visual, auditory and kinesthetic means to ensure proper assimilation of knowledge for all students. Each 200 HR training takes place over (5) Friday to Sunday weekends, held once a month for 5 consecutive months at your training location.
We consistently relate our yogic knowledge back to Chakra diagnostics to emphasize the interconnectedness of physical, psychological and energetic structures involved in the practice. We empower students to breakthrough self-destructive patterns that may affect their day to day lives as well as inevitably impact their leadership skills as a yoga practitioner.
Unit 1 begins with The Practice + History of Yoga—students understand and discuss yoga lineages and the unique qualities that define each style. We then move to Yoga- The Effects on the Systems of the Human Body, including an overview of how each bodily system is affected by the practice of Yoga. In Breathing + Beyond, we explore pranayama and the basic principles of physical and energetic anatomy. Unit 1 concludes with 2-Days of Buti Certification.
We begin Unit 2 exploring each Yoga Pose and Sanskrit. The Foundations of Hatha Yoga are reviewed pose by pose including Standing, Seated and Twisting Poses. Students will be tested on both energetic + physical anatomy in this Unit. We then dive deeper dive into the Chakra system including Chakras, Koshas and Nadis and their relationship with the nervous and endocrine systems. Unit 2 focus is on static anatomy and physiology; identification methods tested are physical touch and visual through fill-in-the-blank. Common misalignments and how to correct form for each pose in our Foundations of Hatha section will be taught and practiced in pairs along with building the foundation for proper cueing.
Unit 3 delves deeper into movement anatomy and physiology. We begin to understand how physical structures interact with energetic structures in the application and practice of dynamic asana. Students will also complete a body pathology segment which helps students learn how to scan posture and alignment to determine muscle weakness, injury or postural abnormality. Unit 3 will finish with pose prescription, sequencing and hands-on adjustments. Demonstration of concepts taught will be conducted in pairs.
Unit 4 begins with student volunteers for the Chakra Diagnostics work with Directed Storytelling®. Upon completion and socratic-method discussion, the course moves on to Leadership Styles + Application. This unit empowers students to determine what type of teacher they wish to become and which leadership style best suits their goal. We compare and contrast yoga teachers from past to present to gain a deeper understanding of the spectrum of yoga instruction. On day 3 of this unit, we focus Thai Massage and savasana adjustments and etiquette. Students focus their time on creative sequencing and practice for their final testing unit.
Unit 5 begins with a half day of concept review and a half day Inversion Workshop I to teach effective cueing and assistance during inversion practice. Students explore muscle testing and engagement with a partner. The Final Exam takes place over 2 days and includes teaching demo, cumulative written exam and partner cueing and adjustment assessment.
We offer affordable payment plans (1 deposit + 3 additional deposits – 1 paid at each unit) and flexible locations for training. You MUST complete all 5 units. However, if your schedule requires you to mix and match your geographic location - we can accommodate you. Your registration or deposit is non-refundable, but is transferrable. This 2-day certification includes BUTI BANDS + BUTI SCULPT unless otherwise noted. This training offers instructors an "add-on" class to boost their Buti Yoga marketability. Each class sequence (Buti® Bands / Buti Sculpt®) fits into a 30 minute class slot offering students convenient fat burning workouts that maximize functional core strength and prevent injury. These class styles are ideal to attract students otherwise intimidated by traditional Buti classes or build-onto your class offerings with HIIT and resistance training to enhance overall market reach. Training will include: manual, instruction, anatomy + physiology, injury prevention / at-home protocols, modification, class sequencing and testing.
Buti® Bands is a HIIT-based resistance training workout targeted to LIFT + SHAPE your BOOTY while toning + strengthening the hips. Bands are utilized during high-intensity intervals to challenge the body through all planes of motion while targeting the hips and booty through lateral engagement. During low-intensity intervals, students move through static yoga poses to release the muscle group targeted during the high-intensity interval.
Buti Sculpt® builds long, lean muscle mass using a HIIT (high intensity interval training) - based formula seamlessly blended with static yoga poses to stretch and release the muscle group used during high-intensity round. HIIT workouts kick the body into a heightened metabolic state + optimizes the body's ability to burn fat through maximum heart rate + maximum effort and these effects can last up to 36 hours post-workout.

Whether becoming a Master Trainer has been on your vision board for a year or you're looking to refine your Buti® skills + business savvy – this cert is for you. At the end of each program, we hold auditions for our newest generation of Master Trainees. Master Trainees will be welcomed into our Master Trainer program based on overall attitude and performance throughout the weekend in addition to their demo audition. This program is REQUIRED to become a Master Trainer.
ADVANCED TRAINING INCLUDES a series of dance technique workshops meant to push each student out of their comfort zone to enhance creativity, muscular engagement, sequencing and pair each with grace and fluidity. Masterful and intentional, DEEP is restorative movement sequence that utilizes the Spiral Structure Technique® to connect mind to muscle and catalyze vibrational change on a cellular level. Unlike other Buti® trademarked formats, DEEP is low-impact and focuses on micro-movements with physical touch to connect the brain to innervated muscle and restructure the deep core. DEEP is designed to prevent injury, restore innervation and assist in the recovery of bladder/ uterine prolapse and diastasis recti. The class structure also includes self-massage and pressure point activation to release muscles during deep restorative asanas. Class duration ranges 75-90 minutes + 7 minute meditation.
DEEP is a POWERFUL practice to add to your instructor tools and repertoire.
This format compliments all existing Buti® formats and is a gentle introduction to the spiral structure technique.

HotCore® is a 30-minute class that utilizes the Spiral Structure Technique® to engage the deep muscles of the core. Broken into pre-sequenced sets to maximize muscle toning, look and functionality, HotCore® is the perfect add-on class for students looking to enhance core strength or push the limits of their yoga practice.
Students practice in socks to facilitate fluid “drag” or friction creating resistance. The majority of movements in HotCore® build deep core strength best accessed through an exaggerated tucking of the pelvis and intentional rounding of the spine. In between sets, students move to restorative yoga asanas to stretch and lengthen. Most HotCore® classes consist of 4-5 pre-set sequences at the discretion and timing of the instructor. HotCore® classes can be taught in non-heated and heated rooms alike. Temperatures can range from 80-95.
